Established over 20 years ago, Capital Funk has become a cornerstone of the DC dance community. We celebrate the diversity that defines our region and cultivate safe spaces for dancers to be their authentic selves. 

When we aren’t performing or competing, we center our core values of learning and contribution. We recognize hip hop’s history and foundations. We are constantly seeking to both educate ourselves and to provide local community members with access to low-cost training opportunities. At least twice per year, we host showcases to bring together a variety of teams and dancers across DC. These events give the spotlight to the talent and innovation found right here in our city.
