Founded in the Spring of 2003 at The George Washington University, Capital Funk promotes unity for people from all backgrounds through dance and hip-hop. Our team is a creative, entertaining, and stress-relieving outlet for dancers and spectators alike. We aim to foster a safe space for growth as individuals, team members, dancers, and proactive citizens of the DMV dance community. Capital Funk brings awareness of hip-hop culture through education, entertainment, and community engagement. In short, we are a family who loves to move and loves the people we move with.

 

Capital Funk has performed at local showcases, charity events, and national competitions. We offer training opportunities through seasonal classes and offer membership through auditions every Fall and Spring.
