auditions

Capital Funk's auditions are for anyone who is
interested in becoming a member of an
award-winning hip hop dance crew. If you are
interested in auditioning, please join the Capital
Funk audition group on Facebook.

Audition Process

First, you will fill out a short information sheet
and be given a number.

The audition has two parts: choreography and
freestyle

After a brief warmup, the team captains will
teach you a piece of choreography.

You will be given time to practice the piece and
then you will perform the choreography twice in
groups.

Judging is based on your ability to accurately
reproduce the choreography, your rhythm and
musicality.

For the freestyle portion, everyone will make a
circle where we will play music and each person
can showcase their dance skills in the middle of
the circle.
